Top 3 Mistakes That No Traveler Should Ever Make

It is safe to say that these days, travel bloggers, writers, and enthusiasts almost always talk about all the things that you need to do when you travel. Travel blogging has become about where to go, what to do, what places to visit, and basically stuff like that. Go here, do this, visit this attraction, don’t forget to meet this person! While there is absolutely nothing wrong with talking about this kind of stuff, there is absolutely no doubt that travel bloggers should be putting a little bit more focus on all the things that you should not do on the road. And now, we are going to do just that! You would be surprised to see just how many mistakes travelers from all over the world make that not only lead to a lot of wasted time and money, but a lot of missed opportunities as well.

It is always easy to tell someone what they need to do, but forgetting to mention all the important don’ts can really destroy the whole experience. Due to the fact that we are living in a digital world that is constantly evolving and expanding day in and day out, it is pretty much safe to say that a big amount of the old conventional travel wisdom is not really up-to-date anymore. With this in mind, we strongly believe that by not telling people how they shouldn’t do something anymore, we actually keep a lot of travel-related myths alive and well, which we absolutely shouldn’t do. You see, travel insiders usually know a lot of important travel-related tips, but unless they tell the general public, they won’t. That being said, here are top five travel-related mistakes that no traveler should ever make!

Exchanging Money At the Airport
Be sure to never exchange your money at the airport. And if you actually decide to do it anyway, it is pretty much safe to say that you will get the worst exchange rates possible. In order to get better rates, you should use either an ATM or a credit card.

Using a Bank Card With Fees
Generally speaking, using a bank card with fees is never a good idea. However, this is particularly bad when you are on the road. With that said, in order to avoid all those hidden ATM fees, you should use a bank card that has no foreign transaction fees.

Taking Taxis
Taxis are almost always overpriced. Be sure to avoid using them whenever and wherever you can. Use other public transportation services instead. Only use taxis when you absolutely need to use them.
